U.S. President Donald Trump said on Truth Social on Thursday that the U.S. and South Korea agreed to launch $200 billion in new investments in the U.S., which comprise major energy and power projects.
The investments include a $120 billion nuclear power program to build eight large-scale nuclear reactors--six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors and two Korean APR-1400 reactors in the U.S., a $50 billion Alaska liquefied natural gas project, and a $22 billion 6.4-gigawatt natural gas-fired power project in Texas' Encinal, according to the post.
