United Microelectronics (TPE:2303) acquired a batch of machinery and equipment from Applied Materials South East Asia for NT$6.98 billion, according to a Thursday filing with the Taiwan bourse.
The equipment, acquired between Dec. 23, 2025, and Oct. 1, 2026, will be used for production and research and development.
