Embraer (EMBJ) and Mahindra are moving forward with preparations to assemble the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft in India, the companies said Thursday.
The partners identified Nagpur as the proposed site for the final assembly line and are working with the state government of Maharashtra as they pursue the Indian Air Force's Medium Transport Aircraft program, with the proposed facility contingent on the C-390's selection and an order from the Indian government.
The proposed site would support local assembly, manufacturing engineering, supply-chain development and lifecycle services, the companies said.
