Vicor lifted its third-quarter guidance, citing higher royalties from a licensing deal.
The power components company now expects revenue to rise more than 30% compared to the second quarter, up from its previous outlook of more than 20% growth. That guidance itself was boosted last week from a forecast for nearly 10% sequential growth.
The news sent shares up 11% to $320.40 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.
Vicor earlier this month signed a licensing deal with a new original equipment manufacturer giving it the right to produce Vertical Power Delivery modules covered by Vicor patents from unlicensed suppliers.
The company broadly licenses its power system intellectual property to OEMs and hyperscalers.
