MISC Berhad (KLSE:MISC) secured a project from PETRONAS LNG for a long-term time charter of five newbuild liquefied natural gas carriers, according to a Thursday Bursa Malaysia filing.

The maritime transport company said each vessel will be chartered for a period of 20 years, with commencement slated for 2030.

MISC will provide services through its subsidiaries and will enter shipbuilding contracts with Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for the construction of the vessels.
