Spotify (SPOT) plans to expand audiobook access on its platform to more than 180 markets from 22 by the end of this year, the company said Wednesday.
Listeners in new markets will be able to access more than 350,000 audiobooks titles in over 120 languages, including new catalogs in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Polish. Users will also be able to purchase audiobooks, the music-streaming giant said.
The company's audiobook partnerships are non-exclusive, enabling authors and publishers to reach more readers through other platforms, it said.
