Eni (E) and Repsol SA are weighing selling part of their stakes in the Perla natural gas field off Venezuela's coast to external investors, Bloomberg reported over the weekend, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The energy firms each own 50% of the offshore venture and are assessing whether to offload a portion of their stakes to raise more funds to develop the field, the report said.
Eni and Repsol did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
