Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) intersected high-grade gold during follow-up definition and extensional drilling at the Lynx Lode, within its Paulsens gold operation in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling with underground and surface drill rigs returned 9.86 meters at 27 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 107 meters, including 0.6 meters at 186 g/t grade of gold from nearly 112 meters, 1.16 meters at 38 g/t grade of gold from 132 meters, and 0.6 meters at 20 g/t grade of gold from 38 meters, the filing said.

Additionally, three surface diamond holes completed at the Raisebore Vein returned 0.3 meters at 32 g/t grade of gold from 143 meters and .25 meters at 5 g/t grade of gold from 213 meters.

The results support further exploration for cross-cutting mineralized veins above the Main Zone, per the filing.

Shares fell 2% in morning trade Thursday.
