Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) has secured all statutory approvals required to construct its 2.5 million tonnes per annum Black Swan Processing Hub near Kalgoorlie, following the grant of a native vegetation clearing permit on Sept. 19, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company has also extended its early works agreement with GR Engineering Services (ASX:GNG) to Oct. 31, 2027, adding AU$6.5 million to the existing AU$25 million commitment to continue engineering, procurement, demolition and bulk earthworks while the engineering, procurement and construction contract is finalized, per the filing.
Long-lead procurement is advancing for key plant items, including elution columns, CIL tanks, intertank screens and platework, with mining at Boorara expected to restart in mid-2027, the filing added.
Maritana Minerals' shares fell around 1% in recent Monday trading, while GR Engineering Services' shares rose 3%.
