Berkshire Hathaway's (BRK.A, BRK.B) Duracell said late Tuesday it opened a new Global Innovation Center for research and development at Science Square Labs in Atlanta.

The 83,000-square-foot facility, which represents a $56 million investment, is expected to create 120 jobs and will serve as a central hub for its global battery technology innovation network, Duracell said.
