Shares of AngioDynamics slid after the medical-technology company appointed Eric Honroth as its next chief executive.
The stock was down 20% at $11.34 in midday Thursday trading. Shares have fallen 12% this year.
Upon Honroth's appointment, effective Nov. 2, he will also join the company's board. Honroth will succeed James Clemmer, who will stay on in a consulting capacity to support the transition.
Honroth most recently served as global president of life science at Getinge, a Swedish medical-technology company.
He will receive a base annual salary of $735,000, plus an annual bonus targeted at 95% of his base pay, among other compensation, the company said.
