Singapore shares closed flat amid cautious sentiment ahead of corporate earnings. A regional decline, led by tech stocks following AI spending concerns, added to the geopolitical pressures weighing on the market.

The Straits Times Index (STI), a key benchmark for the Singapore Exchange, ranged between 5,383.16 and 5,438.35 throughout the day. It ended the session at 5,412, down 3.53 points or 0.07% compared to Friday's close.

In corporate news, First Resources (Singapore)'s (SGX:EB5) shares ended over 3% higher, as it expects no material operational or financial impact from recent forest and peatland fires in Indonesia's West Kalimantan province, despite some disruptions to plantation operations.

Indofood Agri Resources (SGX:5JS) said recent forest and peatland fires in Indonesia have had no material impact on its business activities or continuity. Shares closed nearly 2% lower.

Lendlease Global Commercial REIT's (SGX:JYEU) shares were down nearly 1% as its CEO of investment management, Penelope Jane Ransom, decided to step down.
