Super Micro Computer (SMCI) will build and sell AI inference racks powered by SambaNova SN50 chips under a collaboration initially planned for 10,000 processors, SambaNova said Tuesday.
The chips work alongside Nvidia (NVDA) GPUs, with SambaNova hardware handling model responses and GPUs processing prompts, the company said.
Supermicro will integrate, test and deliver the systems to customers with on-site service, while SambaNova engineers tune models and help with deployments, Supermicro said.
Shares of Supermicro were up over 5% in Tuesday trading.
