JUNSHI BIO (01877) saw its shares rise more than 7% during the morning trading session. At the time of writing, the stock was up 6.54%, trading at HK$20.2 with a turnover of HK$21.4932 million. The increase follows news that the company's new drug application for its self-developed subcutaneous injection formulation of toripalimab (JS001sc) has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration. The application covers 12 indications for the treatment of various tumors. This product is the first domestically developed anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody subcutaneous formulation to enter the marketing application stage in China, and it is expected to significantly improve the convenience of cancer immunotherapy. The 12 indications included in the application cover all currently approved uses of toripalimab in mainland China, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), nasopharyngeal carcinoma, esophageal cancer, renal cancer, and liver cancer. Compared to the current mainstream intravenous infusion method, the subcutaneous injection formulation is anticipated to reduce administration time and optimize both the patient treatment experience and the allocation of medical resources.
