Board secretaries serve as crucial "bridges" connecting investors with listed companies and play key roles in corporate capital operations. The 2024 A-Share Board Secretary Data Report reveals that total compensation for A-share listed company board secretaries reached 4.086 billion yuan in 2024, with an average annual salary of 754,300 yuan.

By industry analysis, statistical data shows there are 69 listed Chinese medicine companies in A-shares, with the following overall board secretary appointment situation (some statistical categories exclude invalid data).

From the age distribution of board secretaries, those aged 40-50 represent the market's backbone, accounting for 42%; board secretaries over 50 years old comprise 29%; while those under 40 account for 26%. Among them, the youngest listed company board secretary is only 32 years old - Xu Zilan from Techdow Pharmaceutical.

Regarding educational background distribution, board secretaries with college diplomas, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees account for 5%, 42%, 49%, and 4% respectively, with those holding master's degrees and above exceeding half the total. Only three board secretaries hold doctoral degrees: Wu Rui from Yiling Pharmaceutical, Zhang Mengxun from Kunming Pharmaceutical Group, and Zhang Chaoyang from Jinhua Co.

From compensation distribution perspective, the average annual salary for board secretaries of A-share listed Chinese medicine companies is 742,400 yuan. Statistics show that the number of people in salary ranges of below 500,000 yuan, 500,000-1 million yuan, 1-2 million yuan, 2-3 million yuan, and above 3 million yuan are 27, 29, 10, 2, and 1 respectively, representing 39%, 42%, 15%, 3%, and 1% of the total.

The top five highest-paid board secretaries are Xing Jian from China Resources Sanjiu Medical&Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd., Cao Wei from Jichuan Pharmaceutical, Yu Jie from Tasly Pharmaceutical, Wu Rui from Yiling Pharmaceutical, and Jiang Xianhong from Yibai Pharmaceutical, with annual salaries of 2.5587 million yuan, 2.4107 million yuan, 2.525 million yuan, 1.89 million yuan, and 1.3935 million yuan respectively. In terms of tenure, these five highest-paid board secretaries have served in their companies for less than 1 year, 7 years, 8 years, 15 years, and 1 year respectively.

Regarding investor reception frequency, there are significant differences among listed companies. Statistics show that 41 companies (59%) received investors fewer than 10 times annually; 17 companies (25%) received investors 10-100 times; 9 companies (13%) received investors 100-300 times; and 2 companies (3%) received investors 300-1000 times.

The five companies with the highest annual investor reception frequencies are Zuoli Pharmaceutical, Qizheng Tibetan Medicine, Yunnan Baiyao, Jinghua Pharmaceutical, and Pien Tze Huang, with reception counts of 410, 404, 298, 221, and 207 times respectively.
