Fujian province has officially kicked off a new strategic program designed to combine agricultural research with its state-owned farming system, according to the provincial agriculture department and the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The initiative aims to dismantle obstacles preventing agricultural technology from reaching the field by fostering a deep connection between industry, academia, research, and application. Its core purpose is to resolve the pressing industrial bottlenecks currently faced by state farm enterprises across the province.
Operated on key principles of demand-driven targeting, precise empowerment, collaborative innovation, and effective results delivery, the plan seeks to establish a regular and comprehensive mechanism for technical support. This framework is intended to facilitate the transfer and application of new findings from the provincial academy directly within farm zones.
The strategy focuses on filling the technological gaps that have hampered the expansion of state farm industries, enhancing their capacity for innovation, and strengthening their influence as a driver of broader agricultural development across the region.
According to the official work plan, the action includes several major tasks: ensuring precise and full-coverage technological alignment, intensifying the promotion of agricultural research outcomes, enhancing the integration and adaptation of mature technologies, and significantly expanding the pool of highly skilled professionals working within the state farm system.
