Huaneng Power International Inc. has executed the sixth tranche of its 2026 mid-term note programme, issuing RMB2.00 billion of “Special Debenture for Energy Supply Assurance” in China’s domestic interbank bond market. The notes carry a 2+N-year tenor with a fixed coupon rate of 1.67% and a face value of RMB100 per note.

The transaction forms part of the financing mandate approved at the company’s 2025 annual general meeting on 16 June 2026, which authorises Huaneng Power to maintain up to RMB170.00 billion in outstanding domestic and overseas debt instruments through to the close of the 2026 annual general meeting.

China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., Guotai Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. and Everbright Securities Co., Ltd. acted as joint lead underwriters, placing the notes via book-building among banking-sector investors.

Proceeds will be applied, on a look-through basis, to repay previously issued special debentures designated for energy supply assurance. The issuance does not constitute a transaction under Chapters 14 or 14A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
