On December 19, TENCENT's AI assistant Yuanbao announced a new capability that allows users to set reminders in WeChat with just a single sentence. By sending a message containing the task and time to Yuanbao, the system automatically identifies the details and sends a reminder via WeChat service notifications at the specified time.

Yuanbao, WeChat's first AI assistant, was quietly launched in April this year. Users can access it by searching "Yuanbao" in WeChat and entering the chat interface. The AI engages in real-time conversations, even displaying "typing..." indicators to simulate human-like interaction.

Powered by hybrid and DeepSeek dual engines, Yuanbao seamlessly integrates with WeChat's ecosystem. It can instantly analyze public account articles, images, and documents, providing summaries and enabling intelligent interactions with the interpreted content.
