The district government's executive meeting was convened to deliberate on key plans concerning advanced manufacturing and integrated transportation development.
The meeting was chaired by District Deputy Party Secretary and Governor Deng Xiaodong, who presided over the 142nd executive session of the district government. The session included reports on the formulation of two major plans: the "Shanghai Baoshan District Advanced Manufacturing '15th Five-Year' Plan" and the "Shanghai Baoshan District Integrated Transportation Development '15th Five-Year' Plan."
The meeting emphasized the need to adhere to the strategic positioning of establishing a smart manufacturing leadership zone. It was stressed that the district must firmly pursue the path of technological innovation, accelerate the expansion of industrial scale around Baoshan's "3+3+6" industrial layout, and promote the intelligent, green, and integrated development of the manufacturing sector.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening analysis and judgment. It called for a balanced approach to upgrading traditional industries, expanding emerging industries, and cultivating future industries. The focus should be on grasping development trends, concentrating efforts on key sectors, and building a distinctive modern industrial system.
The meeting also noted that Baoshan's transformation and development are closely linked to integrated transportation. It was decided to continue consolidating transportation infrastructure construction, advancing multiple measures such as building new road networks, expanding existing roads, and enhancing environmental quality to strengthen the region's radiating influence.
Addressing public welfare gaps was another key point. The meeting instructed officials to focus on resolving urgent and difficult issues related to public transportation, leveraging digital and intelligent innovations to refine traffic management. The goal is to balance transportation construction with public service delivery, effectively improving the public's sense of gain and satisfaction with travel.
The meeting also reviewed other relevant matters.
