SpaceX's Prior Valuation Was Significantly Overstated, Says Former World Bank VP

Former World Bank Vice President and Oxford University professor Ian Goldin has stated that the valuation of SpaceX has undergone a significant correction, which was foreseeable, as its previous valuation was clearly overestimated.

Professor Goldin expressed that the valuations of such companies are severely inflated. This has led to the New York Stock Exchange becoming increasingly skewed towards a handful of enterprises that, under any circumstances, are incapable of generating revenue commensurate with their valuations. He described this as a concerning trend that will inevitably require correction and will impact everyone.

He further noted that, despite the United States currently accounting for less than 20% of the global economy, it represents over 70% of the world's listed stocks and bonds. Over time, alternative investment assets are also gradually taking shape.
