For many consumers, the name Ugreen is synonymous with innovative charging solutions, smart office equipment, and intelligent audio-visual products. Now, this established consumer electronics brand is broadening its horizons by developing an AIoT ecosystem, aiming to bring local AI computing power directly into the household setting.

At the beginning of September, Ugreen's founder, Zhang Qingsen, unveiled the company's AIoT ecosystem strategy for the first time at the IFA trade show in Berlin. A week later, on September 12th, the company hosted its 2026 global brand launch event in Xiamen, introducing the UGREEN AI NAS iDX6011 Pro, the HomeAgent local AI hub, and a full suite of AIoT products to a worldwide audience.

This expansion—from Berlin to Xiamen, and from consumer electronics to the AIoT space—is driven by a consistent philosophy: a deep comprehension of user requirements. As Zhang Qingsen articulated during the launch, what users genuinely value is not the cold data itself, but the people, memories, and emotions that the data represents. By extending its portfolio from charging, office, audio-visual, and storage products to AI NAS and localized home AI services, Ugreen Group Limited is striving to bring dormant data to life and shift AI from a reactive tool to a proactive service.

The Fastest-Growing Business Line

Among Ugreen's four main product categories—charging, smart office, smart audio-visual, and smart storage—the NAS private cloud segment has emerged as the fastest-growing. In the first half of 2026, the company achieved a revenue of RMB 5.821 billion, marking a 50.92% year-on-year increase. The smart storage division alone generated RMB 770 million, a remarkable 85.53% surge, outperforming the other three segments. The AI NAS iDX series successfully raised over USD 8.8 million on Kickstarter, securing the top spot globally in the NAS category for crowdfunding. Since officially entering the consumer NAS market in 2020, Ugreen has solidified its position as the leading consumer NAS brand.

The reason for this rapid growth is the ever-increasing volume of data generated by individuals and families—photos, videos, documents, and work files—which often remains scattered across phones, computers, and cloud drives, making it cumbersome to locate and raising concerns about secure storage. At the Xiamen event, Ugreen announced the AI NAS iDX6011 Pro with a retail price of RMB 19,999 and an early-bird price of RMB 15,999. This device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 high-performance AI processor, delivering 96 TOPS of combined AI computing power. It includes a built-in large language model, enabling the local AI assistant Uliya to handle tasks like AI dialogue, comprehensive search, knowledge base queries, and meeting transcription.

Beyond the specifications, Ugreen's philosophy on smart storage is particularly insightful. The company views it not as simply layering an AI feature onto a NAS device, but as a way to truly activate stored data, enabling the system to understand, interpret, and even proactively execute tasks. Powered by the proprietary Uliya assistant, the iDX6011 Pro functions as a local AI productivity tool that addresses this specific market need. For instance, it acts as a smart photo album curator, allowing users to simply say, "Find all the cat photos, put them in an album, and name it 'Flower,'" and the system will automatically filter and organize the album. It also serves as a home entertainment expert, automatically matching subtitles and recommending personalized movies and music based on viewing history and preferences. Furthermore, it operates as an intelligent file manager, auto-tagging documents, identifying duplicates, and offering suggestions for cleanup and archiving. Crucially, when the iDX6011 Pro handles these tasks, data sovereignty stays firmly with the user, as all processing is done locally without incurring additional cloud token fees. For more complex reasoning, the device can seamlessly switch to cloud-based models, offering users the flexibility to choose between local and cloud processing as needed.

Traditional NAS solutions merely address the question of where to store data—users buy larger hard drives and never revisit the files. The iDX6011 Pro tackles the other half of the problem: how to retrieve and actively utilize the stored information.

Introducing Three Smart Hubs Designed to Serve as the Local "AI Brain"

While the AI NAS solves the storage and usage dilemma, Ugreen's new HomeAgent and MasterAgent lines go a step further, tackling the challenge of integrating AI into the home and workplace. During the event, the company released three new AI local hubs: the HomeAgent HA100, HomeAgent HA100 Pro, and the flagship MasterAgent MA100. While their design echoes the desktop storage form of NAS, their intended role goes far beyond simple storage. Each unit combines local storage, on-device AI processing, and whole-home device control, serving as the core of Ugreen's AIoT ecosystem.

These three products cater to different price and performance tiers. The entry-level HA100 focuses on local storage and computing, ensuring private data like family photos, videos, and documents remain on-site and are processed via local AI, with core functions stable even during a network outage. It also features proactive recording and guarding capabilities: when paired with smart cameras, it can identify key events inside and outside the home, send alerts, provide daily summaries, and capture special moments to preserve memories. Through local AI-based natural language interaction, a single voice command can trigger a full-house response, aligning the entire environment with the user's daily rhythm.

The upgraded HA100 Pro supports all the features of the base model but with significantly enhanced computing power. It acts as a more robust home hub, enabling tasks like content creation, summarization, translation, and text-to-image generation to be completed on-device, again avoiding any cloud token charges. The top-tier MasterAgent MA100 offers an impressive 2070 TFLOPS of computing power, capable of running a 122B parameter large language model locally. This powerful on-device processing allows for deeper understanding and handling of local data. It operates continuously at low power 24/7, making it ideal for "one-person companies." It can process files in batches, generate multimodal content, and maintain personalized memory, reducing repetitive tasks and boosting efficiency. Crucially, it eliminates worries about API bills for frequent use and ensures that sensitive content like private knowledge bases, professional documents, and meeting notes are processed entirely on-site.

By moving from a reactive command-response model to proactive life management, Ugreen is leveraging its AIoT ecosystem to redefine how AI integrates into both the home and the workplace.

The AIoT Strategy: A Network of Eyes, Voices, and Ears

Following the unveiling of its AIoT vision—focused on "Awaken, Initiative, and Trust"—at the IFA Berlin show, Ugreen detailed a comprehensive product lineup at the Xiamen event. Surrounding its new smart hubs, the company launched several smart home devices, including the Care indoor pan/tilt camera, a tri-lens camera, the Gallery smart photo frame, and the Care smart speaker. Zhang Qingsen explained the strategic rationale: with the household as the central focus, spatial awareness requires "eyes, ears, and a voice," naturally leading to the development of cameras, speakers, and digital frames. Together, these components form an integrated, home-manager-like system that provides users with continuous, tangible feedback.

Specifically, the Care indoor camera ID500 Pro functions as an "AI home manager," featuring an 8-megapixel, 4K sensor and 3.2 TOPS of AI computing power. It supports voice-activated dialogue, human tracking, pet detection, and baby cry recognition. The outdoor tri-lens camera OD600 Pro acts as an "AI sentinel," boasting an industry-leading 18MP resolution across its three lenses. It can recognize packages, vehicles, and people via ReID, and includes license plate recognition, light and sound alarms, and electronic fencing. A low-power version, the OD800 Pro, stands by around the clock, covering detection of people, cars, and animals. Additionally, the Gallery smart photo frame can display photos and videos from the HomeAgent device, serving as a digital keepsake. The Care smart speaker is designed to manage the NAS media library and facilitate whole-home voice control.

Ugreen Completes Its Identity Shift, Serving Over 300 Million Users

Ugreen's foundational product line, charging accessories, was also a highlight of the launch event. The company's new charging safety ecosystem incorporates a five-layer protection system, including source safety, intelligent adjustments, proactive anomaly protection, digital safety visualization, and full-process quality assurance. This underscores the brand's commitment to addressing user pain points and building a sustainable competitive advantage. From charging safety to data security and now whole-home intelligence, Ugreen is dedicated to connecting life through technology, offering a warm and intelligent living experience to over 300 million users worldwide rather than a cold collection of devices. With its transition from a traditional 3C electronics maker to the global leader in consumer NAS, and from the IFA trade show stage to its global launch in Xiamen, UGREEN is completing a significant identity transformation, positioning itself as a Chinese tech brand centered on local computing power, structured around an AIoT ecosystem, and guided by the values of data sovereignty and proactive protection.
