Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. (SUNSHINE OIL) announced a further delay in dispatching its shareholder circular, now expected on or before 30 November 2026 instead of the previously targeted 30 October 2026.
On 30 July 2026, the company and its placing agent amended the placement agreement for new shares. Key revisions include: • Placing price reduced to HK$0.20 per share from HK$0.36. • Maximum number of placing shares increased to 205.70 million from 114.28 million.
Given the material changes, the board will convene a new Special Meeting to seek shareholder approval for all amended placing agreements and the expanded specific mandate.
Completion of the placement remains subject to customary conditions precedent, and there is no assurance the transaction will proceed. Shareholders and potential investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
Sunshine Oilsands is a Calgary-based developer with interests in roughly one million acres of oil sands and petroleum leases in Alberta’s Athabasca region. Current efforts center on the West Ells project, which targets initial production of 5,000 barrels per day.
