A 95后 graduate from Zhejiang University's physics department, Guo Jiannan, took a two-year gap period after graduating. During his university years, he was an avid DOTA2 player, once ranking in the top 100 on the national server, though family opposition prevented him from pursuing a professional esports career.

Now seen by many as a hardcore gamer, he has become the founder of an esports internet cafe chain in Hangzhou. His brand operates seven directly-managed locations, generating annual revenue exceeding 15 million yuan, with a total of 42 employees. Remarkably, he manages the entire 15-million-yuan business single-handedly with the help of AI.

He has applied game design principles to cafe management, treating operations like designing a game. Employee tasks are broken down into a quest system, training is designed as a tutorial, and rewards and progress feedback are all integrated into one unified framework. He also developed proprietary software that consolidates revenue, customer traffic, and equipment status from all seven stores into the cloud, connecting it to AI office tools via MCP interfaces. Checking data, identifying faults, or comparing store performance now requires just a single voice command.

From a top-100 national player to a chain owner earning millions annually, he views managing seven internet cafes as a simulation game, with AI serving as the ultimate cheat code he has enabled for himself.
