Spokesperson He Yadong from the Ministry of Commerce responded that China is consistently advancing high-standard opening-up, striving to create a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. The country engages in mutually beneficial economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with nations worldwide to share development opportunities.

He Yadong noted that recent erroneous remarks concerning Taiwan by Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae have severely undermined the political foundation of China-Japan relations, exerting a serious negative impact on bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

He expressed the hope that the Japanese business community, acting in its own interests, will urge the Japanese government to earnestly reflect on and correct its mistakes, thereby creating conditions for bilateral economic and trade cooperation to return to a track of healthy development.
