On July 20, Tencent Holdings rose 3.29% in regular trading, trading at 477.8 HKD/share, with turnover of 3.677 billion HKD. The rally was driven by a wave of AI product and technology announcements during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) held July 17-20 in Shanghai.

During the conference, Tencent unveiled its upgraded full-stack embodied intelligence solution covering cloud infrastructure, model layer, platform layer, and application layer. The company also launched WorkBuddy as a standalone APP across iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS simultaneously, marking the first general-purpose AI agent application on HarmonyOS. Additionally, Tencent Robotics X Lab released a series of new embodied intelligence models systematically connecting perception, body, and action in a closed loop.

Separately, Tencent is leading a consortium to acquire full equity in AI agent company Manus from Meta at approximately $2 billion valuation, further consolidating its position in the intelligent agent space. Tencent would become the largest single shareholder without holding a controlling stake.

Within the Interactive Media and Services sector, peers also traded higher, with Bilibili up 5.67%, Kuaishou up 4.85%, Baidu up 3.76%, Newborntown up 5.26%, and Meitu up 2.78%.
