In the first three quarters of 2026, a total of 118 new listings (116 on the Main Board and 2 on GEM) debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising approximately HK$388.031 billion in total proceeds (HK$387.866 billion on the Main Board and HK$165 million on GEM), with an average of about HK$3.344 billion raised per Main Board listing.
Nearly 80% of these 118 newly listed Hong Kong stocks came from three major sectors: 50 companies from the Information Technology sector, accounting for 42.4% of all new listings and raising approximately HK$207.942 billion, or 53.6% of total IPO proceeds; 25 companies from the Industrials sector, accounting for 21.2% of all new listings and raising approximately HK$99.308 billion, or 25.6% of total IPO proceeds; and 19 companies from the Healthcare sector, accounting for 16.1% of all new listings and raising approximately HK$19.101 billion, or 4.9% of total IPO proceeds.
Together, these three sectors accounted for 79.7% of all new listings and 84.1% of total funds raised.
