On October 21, YUM China officially launched the "One Yuan Donation to Renovate Village School Kitchens" initiative in collaboration with the China Rural Development Foundation. This project aims to enhance dining conditions in rural schools by modernizing kitchen equipment and providing nutritional education, thereby improving children's awareness of nutrition.

The "One Yuan Donation to Renovate Village School Kitchens" charity initiative focuses on two main components: love kitchens and nutritional education. It equips rural schools with a complete set of standardized kitchen equipment, including induction cookers, rice steamers, and disinfection cabinets, to enhance kitchen infrastructure in campuses. Additionally, it provides training and educational toolkits on nutrition for teachers and students, supporting schools in conducting nutrition-themed activities to improve their understanding of scientific diets and nutrition.

As of the end of June 2025, the partnership between YUM China and the China Rural Development Foundation has raised over 280 million yuan for the "One Yuan Donation" charity project, providing approximately 59.6 million nutritious meals for children in underdeveloped regions and establishing over 1,500 love kitchens, with total participation exceeding 150 million.
