China Everbright Water Ltd. (U9E.SG) announced on Apr, 1 2026 that it has secured two water projects in Jiangsu province, further expanding its footprint in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The company will invest about 17.1 million Singapore dollars to develop Phase III of the Huai’an Huaiyin Dongcheng Wastewater Treatment Project under a build-operate-transfer model. The new phase will add municipal wastewater treatment capacity of 20,000 m³ per day, with the concession running to Jul, 2050.
China Everbright Water previously developed Phases I and II of the same plant, which together involved an investment of roughly 57.1 million Singapore dollars and provide a combined treatment capacity of 100,000 m³ per day.
Separately, a consortium led by China Everbright Water secured the engineering, procurement, construction and operations contract for Phase I, Stage II of the Jiangyin High-tech Zone Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant. The stage will add 15,000 m³ per day of treatment capacity. China Everbright Water will operate the facility for six years in return for an entrusted operation fee, while its subsidiary Xuzhou Municipal Design Institute will handle the design work.
Stage I of the same plant, also led by the consortium, is scheduled to enter operation in the second half of 2024 with an identical 15,000 m³ per day capacity.
The company also noted that, earlier in the year, it supplied linear valve equipment for the Phase I upgrade of the Anyang Municipal Wastewater Treatment Centre in Henan province, and won a fluoride-removal process package for an industrial wastewater upgrade in the Yixing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiangsu.
