On November 15, the Dachan Bay Terminal, operated by Shenzhen Port Group, celebrated the inaugural voyage of the new SAMBAR shipping route, reinforcing its strategic role as a logistics hub between China and Southeast Asia. The route, independently operated by MSC, connects China with key Southeast Asian markets, offering direct services to Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore while ensuring efficient transit times.

As the final port of call in China for the SAMBAR route, Dachan Bay Terminal provides exporters with flexible and streamlined logistics solutions. Yang Zicong, Managing Director of Dachan Bay Terminal, stated, "We are delighted that MSC has chosen our terminal as its partner. The launch of the SAMBAR route positions Dachan Bay as MSC’s primary gateway in South China for Southeast Asia trade. We will leverage this opportunity to create faster, more reliable, and greener shipping channels for businesses in the Greater Bay Area."

Six vessels, each with a capacity of 4,000–5,000 TEUs, will serve the route, calling at the following ports in sequence: Dalian—Incheon—Tianjin New Port—Qingdao—Dachan Bay—Dong Nai—Laem Chabang—Singapore—Penang—Pasir Gudang—Tanjung Pelepas—Singapore—Vung Tau—Busan—Dalian.
