Zhongyu Energy Executes HK$5.48 Million Share Buyback; Treasury Stock Climbs to 30.50 Million Shares

On 26 May 2026, Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited disclosed the repurchase of 2.00 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under its existing buy-back mandate approved on 2 June 2025.

The shares were acquired on-market at prices ranging between HK$2.67 and HK$2.77, with a volume-weighted average cost of approximately HK$2.74 per share. Total consideration amounted to HK$5.48 million.

Key post-transaction figures: • Outstanding shares (excluding treasury stock) decreased to 2.72 billion. • Treasury shares increased from 28.50 million to 30.50 million, now representing about 1.11% of the company’s 2.75 billion total issued shares. • The 2.00 million-share purchase equates to 0.0735% of the company’s pre-transaction outstanding share base.

Since the current mandate became effective, Zhongyu Energy has repurchased an aggregate 30.50 million shares, utilising 1.10% of the 277.18 million shares authorised for buyback, leaving roughly 246.68 million shares available under the mandate.

In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Zhongyu Energy is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares, effective until 25 June 2026.
