The National Financial Regulatory Administration has issued a directive concerning the provision of financial and insurance services for flood relief and post-disaster reconstruction efforts.

The notice instructs banking institutions to bolster their financial support systems for flood control and disaster relief. It emphasizes the need to increase credit support for companies involved in flood relief and essential public services, ensuring their loan approval processes are handled in a compliant, legal, and efficient manner.

Financial institutions are directed to vigorously support post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, meeting the new credit demands of enterprises engaged in the production, transportation, procurement, and storage of emergency flood relief supplies.

For businesses that are temporarily unable to operate due to the floods but possess promising prospects, the notice explicitly prohibits banks from recklessly withdrawing loans, cutting off credit, or pressuring for repayment.

Furthermore, the directive calls for an expansion of inclusive financial services to assist affected groups, including farmers, micro-enterprises, and individual business owners, in overcoming their current difficulties.
