Innovating resources through multidimensional links and continuously deepening industry-education integration to write a new chapter in high-quality collaboration between universities and local governments. Recently, a series of events titled "Hand in Hand with Zhejiang, Creating the Future of Shangyu" took place at Zhejiang University's Zhijiang Campus, featuring a delegation of governmental and business representatives from Shangyu District. The historical relationship between Shangyu and Zhejiang University is profound. Since signing a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in 2020, both parties have engaged in deep collaboration across fields including technological innovation, achievement transformation, and talent cultivation. The Zhejiang University-Shangyu Semiconductor Materials Joint Innovation Center, led by academician Yang Deren, has achieved notable results. Additionally, the Shaoxing branch of Zhejiang University's Shaw Hospital has been inaugurated in Shangyu. Activities such as "Zhejiang University’s 100 PhDs in Shangyu" and the "Yellow Land Initiative" have attracted over a thousand students to practice and train in Shangyu. More than a hundred companies, including Wolong Electric Drive, Jingsheng Mechanical and Electrical, and Huángmǎ Technology, have built an industry-academia-research ecosystem in collaboration with Zhejiang University, with the cooperation's outcomes permeating various aspects of industrial upgrading and social services.

During the Zhejiang University-Shangyu District deepening cooperation promotion meeting, several landmark collaborations were established. The "Provincial Key Laboratory for High-Performance Silicon Materials Equipment" was officially unveiled, focusing on the R&D and innovation of domestic semiconductor material equipment. A "Provincial Postdoctoral Workstation" was also established at the Zhejiang University-Shangyu Semiconductor Materials Research Center, aiming to concentrate future research on developing new productive forces.

At the event, Shangyu District showcased its "Youth City" promotional campaign, vividly illustrating the harmonious blend of history and modernity, as well as tradition and innovation within this vibrant city. The Zhejiang University-Shangyu Semiconductor Materials Research Center analyzed its frontier explorations and strong capabilities in the semiconductor materials field during the presentation. Meanwhile, the School of Materials Science at Zhejiang University highlighted its substantial foundation and innovative vitality in materials science research. The university's research team conducted project roadshows, elaborating on the unique advantages and tremendous potential of their projects in technological innovation and application prospects, which sparked considerable interest and lively discussion among representatives from local companies and experts in attendance.

A series of collaboration projects focusing on cutting-edge technology and key sectors of the industry were signed on-site, paving the way to empower deeper cooperation. Throughout the event, both parties also engaged in cultural exchanges and decision-making optimizations by visiting Zhejiang University's Historical Museum, Innovative Technology Hall, and national key laboratories, while holding the second management committee meeting of the Zhejiang University-Shangyu Semiconductor Materials Joint Innovation Center. They also organized the entry of the "Yu Chuang Life" market into Zhejiang University, facilitating deeper interactions in various aspects including cultural exchange and support for maker policies, further solidifying cooperative consensus and stimulating innovative vitality. This event marks a new phase of "close, embedded" cooperation between Zhejiang University and Shangyu District, which will continue to focus on technological breakthroughs, industrial transformation, and cultural heritage, injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the region, and collectively writing a new era of industry-education integration and win-win innovation.
