Shangri-La Asia names Teo Nee Chuan Executive Director and Group CFO

Shangri-La Asia Limited announced that Teo Nee Chuan has taken office as Executive Director, member of the Executive Committee and Group Chief Financial Officer with effect from Mar, 30 2026.

Teo, 55, a Malaysian national, joined the group in May, 2025 as Senior Vice President, Finance Officer, New Development, China and became Group Head of Investment and Asset Management (China) in Sep, 2025.

During the past three years he has served as an independent director of 111, Inc. since Sep, 2018 and as chairman and executive director of China World Trade Center Company Limited since Nov, 2025. His earlier roles include chief financial officer positions at SICC Co., Ltd. (2022-2024), BioDuro-Sundia (2021-2022), H World Group Limited (2016-2021), Rnomac International Limited (2011-2015) and DDB Greater China Group (2009-2011).

Teo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Financial Analysis from The University of Warwick and is a Chartered Certified Accountant in the United Kingdom as well as a Certified Public Accountant in the United States and Hong Kong.

Under his employment contract, Teo receives monthly remuneration of HK$413,160 plus discretionary bonus, short-term and long-term incentives and benefits. He is not entitled to a separate director’s fee.

As at Mar, 30 2026, Teo holds 20,000 ordinary shares in Shangri-La Asia Limited and may receive up to 341,100 award shares that vest in three equal tranches from Jul, 7 2026 to Jul, 7 2028.

The appointment is subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual general meeting, after which Teo will be eligible for re-election in accordance with the company’s bye-laws.
