CoreWeave, Inc. has entered into a partnership with Cerebras and Bce Inc to construct and operate a 300-megawatt artificial intelligence data center in Saskatchewan. This initiative will establish the facility as one of Canada's largest AI-dedicated infrastructures. CoreWeave, Inc. will serve as the hyperscale tenant at the site, located near Regina. Cerebras will supply chips tailored for AI training and inference workloads. Additionally, the facility will be equipped with NVIDIA-based GPU systems to meet high-performance computing demands. Construction is scheduled to commence in the spring, with the first phase expected to be completed in the first half of 2027. The project will utilize a closed-loop cooling system that does not consume municipal water and aims to repurpose waste heat for adjacent buildings and institutions. This undertaking highlights the growing demand for AI infrastructure as both corporations and governments seek to enhance their processing capabilities. Bce Inc stated that the project aligns with its strategy to build digital infrastructure that supports enterprise AI applications. The collaboration also underscores the increasing importance of sovereign AI systems as governments aim to boost their computational and data processing capacities. Future developments will depend on construction progress and further details regarding space utilization and tenant expansion.
