Commercial space-related stocks saw their gains widen during afternoon trading. At the time of writing, DRINDA (02865) rose 4.31% to HK$37.24, LENS (06613) increased 3.23% to HK$28.14, GOLDWIND (02208) advanced 2.49% to HK$14.82, and APT SATELLITE (01045) climbed 2.05% to HK$3.99. The rally followed remarks on February 25 by Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan, who stated that Hong Kong can help connect mainland China's aerospace industry with global markets while providing professional services in research, financing, risk management, and legal support. The Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises will lead efforts to identify suitable aerospace companies to establish operations in Hong Kong. Additionally, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has been asked to review relevant listing rules to facilitate and attract more space-related firms to list in the city. A Huafu Securities research report noted that rocket companies' fundraising and production expansion are driving the entire supply chain into a capacity-building phase. During the Lunar New Year holiday, progress in overseas commercial space initiatives, led by SpaceX, remained rapid, with ongoing rocket launches and Starlink deployments. Meanwhile, as China accelerates its satellite constellation plans, technologies such as flexible solar wings, perovskite solar cells, and laser communications have entered a phase of rapid development.
