Recently, a blogger revealed that a salesperson at a BMW dealership appeared to disparage Xiaomi's vehicles and insult Xiaomi car owners during a live stream. In a video shared by the blogger, the BMW salesperson claimed that "BMW cars have excellent quality, much better than 'Rice Cars'—that brand is just a miscellaneous grain label." Additionally, it was noted that based on screenshots provided by the blogger, the salesperson in question is suspected to be an employee of Baocheng Zhonghuan Shanghai BMW 5S Store. On the morning of March 10, in response to the incident, Pan Jiutang, a partner at Xiaomi's industrial investment department, reposted the related microblog comment. He stated that BMW is a great automotive company and many of his relatives and friends are BMW owners. He emphasized that wise individuals remain open-minded and continuously learn about new developments. In fact, since the launch of Xiaomi's vehicles, senior executives from most top European, Japanese, and Korean automakers, as well as mainstream luxury brands, have visited for exchanges, with some expressing interest in collaboration. Pan encouraged everyone to test drive and compare different models, noting that the best way to judge a car's quality is to experience it firsthand and seek feedback from actual owners.
