Heqing County has recently launched a drone operation training program in Hedong Village, Liuhe Township, targeting the agricultural development shortcomings of its mountainous region. The initiative aims to cultivate local low-altitude operation talent and inject technological momentum into county-level specialty industries.

In response to the production challenges of steep slopes and fragmented land plots in Liuhe Township, the training is closely aligned with the needs of plateau mountain agriculture. Farmers and returning youth are engaged in hands-on practice with real drones, learning essential skills such as pest control and field management. This "master-apprentice" approach is designed to develop a cohort of local "new agricultural drone operators."

Once trained, these local operators can provide nearby drone-based plant protection services, helping to reduce agricultural production costs, strengthen rural service industries, broaden income channels for residents, and continuously support the county's economic upgrading and efficiency.

A student trainee, Gao Guicai, shared his experience: "Learning to operate drones has been highly rewarding. From familiarizing myself with the remote control buttons to practicing takeoff, hovering, and landing, every step demands patience and precision. I have learned that drones can be used for field inspections and crop monitoring, aiding rural production. Through practice, I also realized that piloting a drone requires both boldness and caution. In the future, I will continue practicing to master this technology thoroughly."
