Authorities in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province, have issued a formal response to viral online claims that a local woman lost her family's subsistence allowance after traveling to Hong Kong for a concert. The clarification came from the Social Affairs Administration Bureau of the Ganzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, which released a statement on Sunday.

The bureau stated that it placed high importance on the matter and immediately formed a dedicated task force to launch a comprehensive investigation. According to the statement, the individual identified in the online posts is a resident named Huang, whose trip to Hong Kong for a concert triggered a dynamic monitoring alert for subsistence allowance recipients. A community worker subsequently contacted her to provide policy information and a reminder about the relevant regulations.

The statement explained that the woman’s family members grew concerned that her overseas trip could lead to the cancellation of their allowance and subsequently posted about the situation online to seek help. The bureau confirmed that it is currently verifying the family's circumstances and the specific details of the online report, adding that any action will be taken in accordance with laws and regulations. The authorities emphasized that a thorough review of the case is currently underway.
