On July 21, the official WeChat account of Tencent's Hunyuan AI unit announced the launch of the first version of Hyra (Hunyuan Research Agent), designated Hyra-1.0.

According to the announcement from Tencent Hunyuan, this represents an intelligent agent capable of recursive self-improvement, oriented towards performance-driven research and engineering tasks.

Beyond model development and scientific discovery, Hyra is also designed to operate in open-ended scenarios such as gaming, design, and content creation, where it can continuously iterate its strategic outputs based on self-play, self-evaluation, and user feedback.
