A significant distributed solar power project has officially broken ground in Gansu province.

The first phase of the Yongdeng County Huimin Distributed Photovoltaic Corridor project in Lanzhou, Gansu, commenced construction on June 19th.

This initial stage, specifically the Zhongchuang Food Industrial Park solar power generation project, will utilize idle rooftop space on factory buildings within the industrial park.

The project will operate under a self-consumption model with surplus electricity fed into the grid.

It is understood that the project will be invested in and constructed by Gansu Yuanteng New Energy Co., Ltd.

Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to significantly reduce the amount of electricity purchased from external sources by enterprises within the park, effectively lowering overall energy consumption and carbon emissions.

This initiative will assist the industrial park in transitioning from a traditional production base to a model green and low-carbon demonstration zone.

Furthermore, Yongdeng County plans to use this project as a starting point to continuously expand the construction of the second and third phases of the photovoltaic corridor.

It is noteworthy that Gansu Yuanteng New Energy Co., Ltd. had previously initiated a public tender for the EPC general contracting and supervision of this first-phase project on April 30, 2026.

However, due to changes in the project's tender content and scale, the tender issuer suspended all tender activities for the project on May 15th.

According to the original tender plan, the project was designed to construct distributed photovoltaic power generation facilities on public roads, public building rooftops in administrative villages, and within industrial parks across several towns in Yongdeng County, with a total installed capacity of 200MW.

Since the tender termination on May 15th, and up to the date of this report, the tender issuer has not yet initiated a new round of public bidding.
