In the cornfields of Hejiafang Village, Jinsuoguan Town, Yintai District, Tongchuan City, agricultural drones have recently been buzzing into the sky, shuttling back and forth over the lush green corn crops, evenly spraying a mist-like pesticide agent.
According to a representative from the Yintai District Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, to strengthen the prevention and control of major corn diseases and pests, ensure increased grain production, boost farmer incomes, and enhance agricultural efficiency, the district has launched a unified prevention and control operation for corn using the 鈥?lt;b>One Spray, Multiple Promotions</b>” technique. This operation centers on Hejiafang Village and Jinsuoguan Village, radiating outward to surrounding areas. The plan covers over 10,000 mu, targeting concentrated and contiguous corn plots, leveraging the efficiency of drone technology to apply insecticides, fungicides, and foliar fertilizers in a single spray.
Since the start of this summer, some areas of Yintai District have been impacted by extreme weather, while pests like bamboo worms have frequently occurred, posing a serious threat to corn growth. To ensure stable grain production, the district, based on local conditions, is implementing the 鈥?lt;b>One Spray, Multiple Promotions</b>” operation. This achieves multiple effects, including pest and disease control, prevention of premature aging, promotion of weak seedling recovery, and healthy growth. The goal is to keep the overall loss rate from pest and disease damage below 5%, using technological means to safeguard autumn grain security.

On top of that, there have been many thrips lately, and I feared a reduced harvest. I didn鈥檛 expect the Agricultural Technology Center to send drones so quickly to spray pesticides and fertilize.
