Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced the third 2025 national catalog of famous, special, and excellent new agricultural products, along with distinctive farm products. Feixiang District's "Shejun Apple" and "Qunli Morel Mushroom" were included in the list. This achievement highlights the district's successful efforts in promoting agricultural branding and strengthening its specialty agricultural industry.

At Shejun Farm in Dongjiabeibao Village, Xin'an Town, Feixiang District, enzyme-rich apples bend the branches around the Mid-Autumn Festival each year, emitting a fragrant aroma. The fruit offers a slightly tart and refreshing taste with crisp, tender, and residue-free flesh. Since 2020, farm owner Li Shejun has promoted traditional planting methods, respecting the natural habits of fruit trees by avoiding chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. Instead, the farm nourishes trees with base fertilizers and uses functional enzymes made from garlic, chili, and soapberry for sterilization, disinfection, and pest control. This approach fosters a balanced ecosystem where plants and microorganisms coexist, preserving the fruit's nutrition, quality, and flavor.

Qunli Cooperative began cultivating morel mushrooms in 2019, starting with just three or four greenhouses and expanding to over 40 today. In 2020, guided by Hebei Province's edible mushroom industry technology innovation team, the cooperative explored an intercropping model of grapes and morel mushrooms. This technique increased the yield from 400 jin per mu to 2,000 jin of fresh mushrooms, raising the profit per mu to approximately 50,000 yuan. The cooperative has also actively expanded sales channels, exporting products overseas, and developed a modern agricultural park that integrates sightseeing, picking, and experiential activities, injecting new vitality into the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism.

In recent years, Feixiang District's specialty agricultural industry has grown significantly, with green foods such as tomatoes, edible mushrooms, and apples gaining popularity and boosting local farmers' incomes. To date, the district's vegetable planting area spans 182,000 mu, including 122,000 mu of facility-based vegetable cultivation. Twenty-two agricultural products have received green certification, two have been recognized as national famous, special, and excellent new agricultural products, and four have been listed as distinctive farm products. Additionally, Feixiang onion has been designated as a national geographical indication agricultural product.
