Taiyuan Authorities Summon 13 MCN Agencies Over Malicious Criticism Targeting Xiaomi and Li Auto

According to reports from the Taiyuan Cyberspace Police, the Cyberspace Administration of Taiyuan Municipal Committee recently held a collective meeting with 13 MCN agencies in conjunction with the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

The meeting addressed recent misconduct involving certain MCN agencies and online influencers who have been making derogatory and malicious comments about new energy vehicle manufacturers such as Xiaomi Corp. and Li Auto, damaging the brand reputation of these companies. It was emphasized that all MCN agencies and online content creators must strictly adhere to industry standards and business ethics. They are prohibited from organizing or participating in activities such as deploying online trolls to attack businesses and products, filing malicious complaints, or engaging in provocative炒作 to stir up controversy. The goal is to jointly maintain a fair, competitive, and healthy online and market environment. Attendees signed compliance commitment agreements on site.
