Geo Energy Resources Limited Posts Lower 1Q2026 Revenue but Holds Profit, Announces Interim Dividend

Geo Energy Resources Limited (RE4) reported revenue of 95.8 million US dollars for 1Q2026, a 42% decline from 166.4 million US dollars a year earlier, due mainly to lower coal sales volume of 1.8 million tonnes versus 3.5 million tonnes in 1Q2025.

Net profit came in at 4.0 million US dollars, broadly in line with the 4.3 million US dollars earned in 4Q2025 but below the 14.1 million US dollars recorded in 1Q2025. Average selling price rose to 48.56 US dollars per tonne from 46.98 US dollars per tonne, while cash profit per tonne remained steady at 10.66 US dollars.

The Board declared an interim dividend of 0.1 Singapore cent per share, representing a 34% payout ratio under the company’s 30% dividend policy.

Management reaffirmed a 2026 coal-production target of 11.5 - 12.5 million tonnes, noting that output is expected to accelerate in 2H2026 when the MBJ Integrated Infrastructure—now 90% complete and targeted for June/July startup—allows higher production from the TRA mine.

During the quarter the group completed the purchase of 51% stakes in Indonesian shipping firms PT Trans Maritim Pratama and PT Bahari Segara Maritim, and it later signed a term sheet valuing the MBJ infrastructure business at 1.5 billion US dollars for a potential external investment.

Geo Energy’s market capitalisation exceeded 1 billion Singapore dollars on Apr, 13 2026. Management cited rising coal prices, planned production growth and new logistics capabilities as drivers for stronger earnings in the coming quarters.
