At the BYD Intelligentization Strategy Launch held on May 28th, Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Group, delivered a speech.

Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD's "Eye of Heaven" assisted driving system distinguishes hardware by letters and software by numbers. The hardware versions include: "Eye of Heaven A," an assisted driving system with three lasers; "Eye of Heaven B," an assisted driving system with lasers; and "Eye of Heaven C," an assisted driving system.

The software versions include: "Eye of Heaven 5.0," a reinforcement learning end-to-end large model; and "Eye of Heaven 4.0," a fully closed-loop end-to-end large model.

He revealed that during the Labor Day holiday this year, the activation rate for high-speed scenarios of the "Eye of Heaven" system exceeded 95%. He also pointed out that the reason why the small blue lights of assisted driving are rarely seen on city roads is due to high costs, poor usability, and lack of confidence in using the system. City navigation is an important safety feature and should not be tied to the vehicle's price or used as a means of premium pricing.

Wang Chuanfu announced that BYD is pioneering an era of universal city navigation, with its entire vehicle lineup capable of being equipped with the "Eye of Heaven B" assisted driving laser version at an optional price of 12,000 yuan. "This price is already at cost," he said.

Additionally, he announced that following the safety guarantee for intelligent parking, BYD is once again taking the lead by committing to a one-year safety guarantee for city navigation. Starting immediately, new users of the "Eye of Heaven A" and "Eye of Heaven B" systems will enjoy a one-year city navigation safety guarantee from the date of vehicle pickup. Existing owners of the "Eye of Heaven A" and "Eye of Heaven B" systems who upgrade to "Eye of Heaven 5.0" via OTA within one year will also receive the same guarantee.
