Finsoft Financial Investment Holdings Limited reported revenue of HK$24.29 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, up 8% from HK$22.50 million a year earlier. Growth was driven by HK$2.40 million in first-time contributions from the ticketing and admission system services segment, which compensated for a 33.4% slide in money-lending income to HK$1.02 million.

Gross profit slipped 10.1% to HK$11.26 million, with the margin contracting to 46.3% from 55.7%, mainly due to a lower margin in the core financial-trading software solutions division. Administrative expenses fell 14.4% to HK$14.60 million following cost-control measures.

A HK$0.06 million reversal of impairment on loan and interest receivables, compared with a HK$4.07 million provision a year earlier, and a HK$2.51 million net fair-value gain on listed securities (up from HK$1.00 million) helped narrow the period loss. Net loss attributable to shareholders was HK$1.44 million, markedly lower than the HK$7.72 million deficit in the prior-year period, translating into a basic and diluted loss per share of HK0.33 cents (1H 2025: HK1.53 cents).

Segment performance: • Financial trading software solutions remained the largest contributor with revenue of HK$20.69 million, broadly stable year-on-year. • Ticketing and admission system services delivered HK$2.40 million after launch in early 2026. • Other IT and internet financial platform services recorded no revenue. • Assets investments generated a HK$2.51 million fair-value gain, while interest income from loan financing decreased.

Financial position: • Cash and cash equivalents rose to HK$13.63 million from HK$11.70 million at 31 December 2025. • Net current assets stood at HK$27.29 million; current ratio was 2.1x. • Total borrowings comprised a single finance lease of HK$0.13 million, keeping gearing at 0.2%. • Net asset value declined slightly to HK$37.04 million. • No interim dividend was declared.

Investment portfolio: • The Group’s significant stake in China Demeter Financial Investments Limited was valued at HK$3.36 million, representing 5.22% of total assets, after a HK$2.57 million fair-value gain during the period. • Other equity investments not held for trading, including a 0.86% stake in China Parenting Network Holdings Limited, were valued at HK$0.19 million.

Outlook: Management will focus on strengthening the core financial software segment, expanding the newly launched ticketing and admission system services, and maintaining a cautious stance in the money-lending business amid market uncertainties. The Group intends to seek further IT-related project tenders and monitor its investment portfolio closely while maintaining a conservative capital structure.
