Known as the "City of the Future," Xiongan carries people's visions of tomorrow. As this new city grows rapidly, it aims to become a key source of independent and original innovation, actively embracing future industries.

Early one morning, a reporter visited a coffee shop at the Xiongan Business Service Center. There was no busy barista in the shop, only a 5G robot with two nimble arms called the "AI Coffee Master," which took beans, ground them, and poured water in smooth motions. After receiving a cup of hot coffee, the reporter's rather futuristic experience in Xiongan New Area began.

On the way to the pilot test base at the Xiongan New Area Science and Technology Innovation Center, the reporter used a mobile phone to hail a driverless car. The ride was requested online, the doors opened automatically, and the car started without any perceptible delay, with no driver throughout the entire trip. When encountering intersections, crosswalks, and pedestrians, the vehicle could accurately perceive them, decelerate intelligently, and avoid them flexibly. Starting from "a blank sheet of paper," Xiongan New Area is turning three landmark future industries — aerospace information and satellite internet, artificial intelligence, and new materials — from blueprints into tangible scenarios. Arriving at the destination, the Xiongan Science and Technology Innovation Center pilot test base, the reporter entered Lanjian Hongqing (Xiongan) Space Technology Co., Ltd. In the satellite intelligent manufacturing workshop, technicians were debugging an intelligent production line, and "Xiongan No. 1" rolled off the line here. In August of this year, a satellite independently developed by Hongqing Technology was successfully launched aboard the Zhuque-3 Y2 carrier rocket. This commercial satellite, entirely researched, developed, assembled, and tested locally in Xiongan, integrates multiple self-developed core technologies and more than ten domestically pioneering technologies. The company's head told the reporter that after the company settled in Xiongan, relying on the public science and technology innovation platform built by central state-owned enterprises and complete industrial support, the satellite achieved full-process localized development, greatly shortening the research and development cycle. At present, "Xiongan No. 1" is conducting on-orbit technical verification, and will continue to explore applications of satellite internet in emergency communication support, ecological monitoring, and other fields. Relying on China SatNet and the China Aerospace Information and Satellite Internet Innovation Alliance, Xiongan has gathered nearly 70 enterprises in the aerospace information field, with 9 innovation platforms and a total industrial output value of the aerospace information industry exceeding 1 billion yuan.

After lunch, the reporter came to the Xiongan Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park. Although it was drizzling outside and the weather had turned cooler, the office building was bustling. In the first-floor exhibition hall, an industrial robot was demonstrating cargo handling, and in the shared tea room, several technicians sat together, drinking coffee and discussing. Many times, enterprises in the same building can work out cooperation plans just by dropping in on each other: the heads of two companies, Huaqing Zhiyan and Dongjian Technology, met at a park salon, and their products achieved mutual integration and jointly expanded the industrial chain. At present, Xiongan New Area has gathered more than 100 artificial intelligence enterprises, forming a complete industrial chain covering the foundational layer, the technical layer, and the application layer.

Leaving the Xiongan Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park, the sky gradually darkened. The reporter arrived at the last stop of the day, Rongdong Baita Road. A dark blue "eye" slowly lit up — this is the city computing center known as the "Eye of Xiongan." Visitors were touring inside the Xiongan City Computing Center, known as the "Eye of Xiongan." The "Eye of Xiongan" is the "super brain" of the entire city of Xiongan New Area. It has already gathered more than 40 billion pieces of high-quality data, supporting the city's smart operations. A single day is very short, yet the reporter felt a city's efforts to build future industries. Facing the opportunities brought by a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, this future city is seizing new tracks in future industries and building an innovation highland and entrepreneurship hot spot for the new era.
