XPeng Inc. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated that operating an automotive company is a challenging endeavor. He admitted that the automotive business model is inherently problematic, leading to volatile sales figures that are difficult to predict accurately. Furthermore, he highlighted that profit margins from sales are too low and insufficient for long-term sustainability. While current sales performance is strong, He emphasized that it remains inadequate.
Looking ahead to 2026, He Xiaopeng identified three critical priorities for XPeng. The foremost is enhancing organizational capabilities and driving internal transformation. Secondly, the company aims to establish a physical AI system, noting that current AI applications in autonomous driving represent only the initial phase of integration, with further implementation needed in smart cockpits, infrastructure, and aerial vehicles. Third, globalization remains a key focus, with He affirming XPeng's deep commitment to international expansion and promising visible results by next year.
