On the morning of October 12, China's first batch of established national parks, the "Giant Panda National Park," celebrated its fourth anniversary. Lenovo Group announced that it will create the industry's first "National Park AI Agent" solution based on its artificial intelligence application practices in the Sichuan section of the Giant Panda National Park. The initiative aims to use artificial intelligence to enhance the intelligent protection of giant pandas as an "umbrella species" and their habitats, contributing technological strength to achieving the modernization goal of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

According to the introduction, the Giant Panda National Park, as China's first national park named after a single species, spans across Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces with vast territory and complex terrain. The traditional "human resources-intensive" patrol and management model is undergoing transformation driven by technology. The Sichuan section serves as the core area and is becoming a testing ground for artificial intelligence to expand the breadth and depth of ecological protection.

Currently, Lenovo Group is steadily advancing the AI-powered intelligent upgrades of digital systems at multiple sites in the Sichuan section of the Giant Panda National Park, including Shimian Tuowu Mountain, Shimian Liziping, and Maoxian Tudiling. Tailored to different sites' infrastructure conditions and innovation needs, Lenovo Group has created the industry's first National Park AI Agent. Compared to traditional digital solutions, the National Park AI Agent comprehensively covers the differentiated needs of core groups including national park management, patrol, research, and public stakeholders. It breaks down data silos between various sites and constructs a full-chain capability system covering AI-powered intelligent management, patrol, research, and education through the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as digital twins, computer vision, multimodal knowledge bases, and edge computing, comprehensively enhancing the intelligent protection capabilities of the Giant Panda National Park.

The AI agent constructs an integrated monitoring system covering land, air, and space. Leveraging computer vision technology, it achieves intelligent recognition and dynamic analysis of multiple wild animal species, with giant panda species recognition accuracy expected to reach over 95%, effectively supporting biodiversity monitoring and habitat assessment. It builds an AI three-dimensional geographic simulation patrol management system, comprehensively improving the precision, efficiency, and operational safety of daily park inspections. It establishes an AI intelligent species knowledge base, supporting precise retrieval and intelligent Q&A of wildlife protection-related knowledge, enabling dual empowerment of research and education. It develops a distributed AI giant panda profiling system that gradually realizes identity recognition and personalized file management of thousands of wild giant pandas in the protected area through "thousand pandas, thousand faces" individual recognition capabilities, providing data support for population dynamics research and precision protection.

Qiao Jian, Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer of Lenovo Group, stated: "When technology and responsibility converge, they can create a sustainable development vision of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. The collaborative innovation between Lenovo and the Sichuan section of the Giant Panda National Park will help create replicable and scalable examples of 'AI+' empowered ecological protection, injecting technological momentum into the high-quality construction of the national park system."
