Shares of Blaize Holdings Inc (NASDAQ: BZAI) skyrocketed 63.41% in intraday trading after the company announced a significant $120 million agreement to deploy its hybrid AI platform across Asia Pacific markets. The surge in stock price reflects investors' enthusiasm for the company's expansion into the lucrative Asian AI infrastructure market and its improved revenue projections.
The agreement, formed in collaboration with Starshine Computing Power Technology Limited, will see Blaize's Graph Streaming Processor-based inference accelerators integrated with existing GPU infrastructure to create hybrid AI computing clusters. The initial focus will be on smart city applications across India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and China, with plans to expand into additional industries such as retail operations, industrial automation, and agricultural resource management.
Adding to the positive sentiment, Blaize Holdings also updated its revenue expectations, projecting at least $35 million in revenue for 2025 and a minimum of $130 million for 2026. This significant increase in projected revenue, likely bolstered by the new agreement, has further fueled investor confidence in the company's growth trajectory.
Dinakar Munagala, co-founder and CEO of Blaize, emphasized the importance of this deal, stating, "This is the beginning of real-world AI infrastructure at scale. Asia represents a $112B opportunity for next generation intelligent systems, and inference is leading the charge." The partnership is set to commence in the third fiscal quarter of 2025 and continue through 2026, positioning Blaize as a key player in the rapidly expanding Asian AI market.
As the AI sector continues to evolve and grow, Blaize Holdings' strategic move into the Asian market and its focus on energy-efficient edge AI computing solutions appear to have resonated strongly with investors, driving the substantial intraday gains.
